Join us as a Senior Citrix Platform Engineer and take ownership of our enterprise Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops platform. You ensure its stability, security, and performance while continuously improving automation, monitoring, and reliability.

Working with cross-functional teams, you help deliver a scalable, high-performing virtual workplace and drive ongoing platform improvements using modern engineering practices.

What to do:

  • Design, operate, and continuously improve Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops platform

  • Support core components:

    • Delivery Controllers,

    • StoreFront,

    • PVS,

    • NetScaler/ADC,

    • Ivanti UWM

  • Manage lifecycle activities (image updates, maintenance, upgrades)

  • Collaborate with security on vulnerability management, patching, and remediation

  • Troubleshoot complex platform and infrastructure issues

  • Analyze incidents and drive reliability improvements

  • Contribute to monitoring, observability, and reliability metrics

  • Ensure platform availability, performance, and resilience

  • Improve efficiency through automation and standardization

  • Develop automation using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform

  • Simplify operations and reduce manual effort

  • Enhance monitoring with Grafana, Citrix Director, and ControlUp

  • Use data and metrics to drive platform improvements

  • Define and support reliability indicators (availability, performance, operations)

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, workplace, and engineering teams

  • Contribute to engineering initiatives and platform improvements

  • Promote best practices and knowledge sharing

  • Support a culture of ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement

Job requirements

You check these boxes:

  • Active hands-on experience in the last 5+ years in Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD),

    • including PVS, NetScaler/ADC

    • tools like ControlUp, Citrix Director, and Ivanti UWM,

    • with solid knowledge of policies, security, performance, and architecture

  • Solid infrastructure knowledge across

    • Windows Server

    • Active Directory

    • GPOs

    • DNS

    • basic networking concepts

  • Active experience with automation combined with strong troubleshooting, analytical skills

  • Structured, solution-oriented mindset focused on simplifying systems and improving efficiency

  • Platform reliability mindset with interest in operational resilience

  • Understanding of SRE principles (metrics, operational excellence)

  • Experience with observability/monitoring in large enterprise environments

  • A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - we are obliged by law to quote the minimum wage of EUR 2.900,- gross per month for this full time position.
