Group Business Continuity & Crisis Management strengthens the resilience and preparedness of Erste Group in the face of disruptions. The department provides a group-wide framework, standards, and guidance to ensure a consistent and effective approach to resilience, continuity, and crisis management across all entities and functions.
Working closely with business, IT, and risk teams, BCM & CM supports the integration of resilience principles into day-to-day operations and promotes a culture of preparedness and continuous improvement. The function also facilitates coordination in crisis situations and contributes to safeguarding the bank’s ability to operate reliably in a dynamic environment.
Your Tasks
Drive the group-wide implementation and ongoing operation of the Operational Resilience framework in a business-as-usual environment
Translate resilience principles and standards into practical processes, guidance, and governance
Ensure critical business services can continue within defined impact tolerances during severe but plausible disruptions
Design and oversee scenario-based testing, turn insights into action, and ensure remediation actions are effectively closed
Act as a central subject matter expert and sparring partner across business, IT, risk, and continuity teams
Job requirements
Your Background
Extensive experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management, Operational or Technology Risk; a relevant certification is considered as a plus
Background in banking or another highly regulated financial services environment
Proven hands-on experience with implementing and operating complex, group-wide frameworks
Strong understanding of impact-based resilience, critical business services, and end-to-end service mapping
Interest in leveraging technology and innovation, including AI; coding or scripting experience is considered an asset
Very good stakeholder management and communication skills in cross-functional environments

The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 51.336,00 gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
