What to do:

  • Drive the overall vision, roadmap, and execution for Payments in George, both for retail and corporate customers.

  • Lead and mentor the product owners of each sub-domain of this big realm to help them drive the roadmap and execution inside their respective feature scope and to support their professional growth.

  • Set product OKRs, monitor and drive progress towards them

  • Collaborate on product scope and execution with various business and IT stakeholders from all the entities of Erste Group and George, including legal and compliance and our execution desk.

  • Take in customer feedback, product metrics and apply personal vision to proactively drive product improvements.

  • Drive long-term changes and investments towards improving the infrastructure that drives the frontend, enabling customers to transfer money from A to B in the most convenient and secure way, comply with regulations and more, with a focus on scaling across the region efficiently and in a modularized way.

  • Collaborate with the Payments Cluster’s Agile Manager to maintain a highly performant team and an up-to-date technical infrastructure.

  • Represent Payments in George internally and externally with a strong ability to convey the vision and buy-in stakeholders on all levels.

Job requirements

You check these boxes:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably within a financial institution

  • Experience in briefing, communicating and negotiating with senior stakeholders (up to C-Level) in a concise and factful manner

  • Basic understanding about payment operations, e.g. the specifics of different payment types and instruments for mass transactions

  • Curiosity and drive to learn more about payment related regulations within the EU (e.g. PSD 3, Instant Payment Regulation) to understand their user-facing implications for the product

  • Ability to visualize product ideas, ideally using Figma

    Considered a plus:

  • Experience in working with multi-national groups

  • Leadership experience in an agile environment, “servant leadership style”

  • Speaking the language of any of the countries Erste Group is operating in

  • A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - the minimum wage for this position in accordance with the respective collective agreement is EUR 62.790,-- gross per year. But this is just a formality, we are more than happy to discuss your actual expectations.
