Our newly formed AI Office is a small, agile team, driving AI strategy, governance, and enablement. As we expand, we’re looking for a new team member who combines strategic thinking, operational execution, and a hands-on mindset for shaping AI in a regulated environment.

Your Tasks

As Senior AI Advisor (AI Office), you will be at the intersection of AI governance, technology, and innovation. Your work will span three key areas:

AI Governance & Compliance

• Support the implementation and evolution of the Group AI Governance Framework.

• Contribute to assessments under the EU AI Act and internal risk frameworks.

• Interface with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Data teams.

AI Strategy & Innovation

• Support the Group AI Officer in developing and evolving the AI strategy across Erste entities.

• Engage with key stakeholders to identify emerging AI trends and their relevance to the bank.

• Help translate strategic ambitions into actionable programs.

Operational Enablement & Use Case Support

• Act as a sparring partner for AI use case owners across Erste Group.

• Closely collaborate with other units dealing with AI in Erste Digital.

• Coordinate the onboarding of new AI systems, including risk assessments and architectural alignment.

• Contribute to cross-functional working groups, task forces, and pilots.

Your Background

• 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in a top-tier consultancy, technology advisory, or in-house transformation role.

• Strong project or program management skills (PMP, Prince2, or agile certifications a plus).

• A solid understanding of IT or data governance; experience in regulated industries is an asset.

• Keen interest in AI technologies, digital innovation, and their real-world applications.

• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.

• A collaborative mindset and ability to bridge business, tech, and compliance perspectives.

• The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 55.176,-- gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
