Would you like to work at the intersection of technology, strategy and governance and help shape the IT agenda of Erste Bank Oesterreich? 

As part of our CIO team, you will support the development and implementation of our IT strategy and work on strategic technology and governance topics together with colleagues from Business, IT, Erste Digital and Group functions. 

Your Tasks

• Support the development and implementation of the EBOe IT strategy and strategic CIO initiatives 

• Analyze technology trends and translate them into implications for our business, IT landscape and governance 

• Contribute to IT governance, portfolio and investment management as well as technology-related regulatory topics 

• Prepare decision papers, management presentations and structured analyses for the CIO and senior stakeholders 

• Work with Erste Digital and internal stakeholders on strategic technology topics, including architecture, cloud, data and AI 

• Support cross-functional initiatives and facilitate workshops with Business and IT stakeholders 

• Help improve governance processes, transparency and decision-making across the CIO organization 

Your Background

• University degree or comparable practical experience, with around 3–5 years of experience in IT strategy, technology consulting, IT management, governance or a related field

• Good understanding of modern technology and IT organizations; exposure to architecture, cloud, software engineering, data or AI is an advantage

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to structure complex topics clearly

• Confident communication and collaboration with different stakeholders and senior management

• Very good English; German is an advantage

• Experience in banking or financial services is welcome, but not a prerequisite

• For this position, we offer a gross annual salary of approximately EUR 55.700,00 (full-time, including overtime allowance). Your actual salary will be based on your qualifications, experience, and individual fit for the role.
