We are looking for a Head of Digital Banking Integration to lead a mission-critical area of our technology organization.
This is a senior leadership role where strategic direction, operational excellence, and strong people leadership are essential. The role oversees four key departments:
Operations & Cloud, Platform & Architecture, Quality Assurance, and Portals—each led by experienced managers and technical experts.
What to do:
Lead through leaders: Manage and mentor the heads of four departments, fostering cohesion, alignment, and a high-performance delivery culture.
Own the full technical integration scope: From IT operations and cloud platforms to enterprise architecture, testing, and cross-platform engineering.
Ensure operational excellence: Oversee 24/7 IT Operations, including second- and third-level support, to ensure secure and reliable platform performance across all George markets.
Drive cloud evolution: Lead the development of our AWS-based infrastructure to enable scalable, resilient, and agile service delivery.
Steer architecture and governance: Align technical strategy and architecture across frontend, backend, and mobile development, while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Champion quality and reliability: Lead the QA strategy, including regression testing, issue resolution, and problem tracking to ensure consistently high product quality.
Support group-wide web capabilities: Provide architectural guidance and alignment for the Portals team, which manages web content management platforms used across Erste Group, ensuring consistency, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Collaborate and inspire: Work closely with peers in product, delivery, and infrastructure to align on strategic goals and execute effectively.
Job requirements

Proven success in a senior IT leadership role, with experience managing multiple departments and leading through other leaders.
Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), IT operations, and application architecture in a complex enterprise environment.
Experience with QA methodologies, test automation, and service reliability practices.
Solid knowledge of IT governance frameworks, regulatory compliance (e.g., DORA, GDPR), and internal controls.
Strategic mindset with strong execution skills and the ability to lead organizations through growth and complexity.
Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills across business, tech, and delivery teams.
A leadership style that prioritizes empowerment, accountability, and long-term thinking.

A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - the minimum wage for this position in accordance with the respective collective agreement is EUR 82.600,-- gross per year. But this is just a formality, we are more than happy to discuss your actual expectations.
