Are you ready to drive digital transformation at a leading financial institution? Join our team and actively shape the IT strategy of Erste Group. As an CIO Consultant, you will work closely with the Group CIO and COO teams, significantly contributing to the implementation of our IT strategy across the group. This advisory function reports directly to the Head of IT Strategy and Transformation of Erste Bank Group (OU 0430 EH).

Your Tasks

• Prepare regular updates and strategic advice for the Group CIO and COO

• Collaborate with senior management and various Business & IT stakeholders in establishing group-wide business enablement and tech foundation platforms

• Guide the further adoption of cloud technologies for modern application development, data analytics and AI model creation

• Support Digital and Agile Transformation initiatives to integrate Business and IT, streamline processes to improve business performance

• Foster communication and operationalization within IT communities across all involved countries as well as moderation and coordination of workshops

• Independently create documentation and resources to support the coordination of the IT strategy Working Groups

Your Background

• University degree (preferable computer science or related field) or equivalent work experience

• At least 5 years of experience in IT management or technology consulting roles, preferably in large international organizations in the banking/financial industry

• Strong technology background with knowledge of architecture, cloud technologies, portfolio management and the overall software engineering lifecycle

• Hands-on experience with agile ways of working and transformation

• Technology strategy consulting (internal or external) and strong trouble shooting and problem analysis skills are an advantage

• A natural confidence with your excellent communication and team skills, while being fluent in German & English

• Experience in preparation and facilitation of workshops with senior participants

• Exceptional proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

• Proven track record of supporting or leading successful digital transformation projects

• Experience in a (team or project) lead role is desirable

• The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is 45.972,64 EUR gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
